Open to school aged children up to the age of 18 years, residing in Frankston, needing assistance to join a local, not-for-profit sports club. Applicants must hold a health care card or pension concession card.
Student Scholarship Grants

Funding assists Frankston City students who have been impacted by COVID-19 with monetary support to purchase text books and/or assist with educational fees for students who are studying at higher education institutes (e.g. Chisholm Institute of TAFE) as part of Council’s Community Care Package.

The Victorian Government, through the ‘Engage!’ Program gives funding to Council to offer a Youth Grants program.
The Youth Grants Program aims to support young people experiencing disadvantages that limit their ability to gain financial support for materials, equipment and courses for their education, training and/or career aspirations.
Artist Project Grants

Frankston City Council has continued its commitment to support COVID 19 recovery initiatives as part of its Relief and Recovery package and is proud to support local artists to create work that contributes to our vibrancy, culture and community.
Funding is available to individual artists, creatives or artists practicing within a small arts organisation from all backgrounds and abilities, at all stages of career whether emerging, mid-career or established. The funding will be distributed to six successful recipients, with at least one of the grants dedicated to realise creative projects for deaf and disabled artists. We also welcome applications that engage with these communities in a meaningful and significant way.
The funding will enable the development of new work that results in a public outcome within the municipality by 30 June 2022.
How much can I apply for? Up to $5,000 will be awarded to six local artists.

Major Local Community Events Grant
The Major Local Community Events Grant closed on Friday 20 August.
The grant provides funding to support locally initiated events that significantly benefit Frankston City residents and build local capacity for participation in, celebratory, cultural and artistic activities. The events funded will primarily attract local audiences, which enhance the quality of life of residents; celebrate local identity and culture; and provide a range of community benefits including participation, wellbeing and community connections.
Applications for the 21/22 funding program have closed.
Tourism Event Attraction Grants
Open: 9am, Tuesday 14 July
The Tourism Event Attraction Program has been designed to attract events that drive economic returns outside of the event and give both visitors and residents year-round reasons to seek out and experience our City’s urban bayside location.
Two grants have been made available through the program, to support event management companies wishing to create or relocate their tourism event to Frankston.
To date, the program has supported the delivery of 20 events over four years. These events have attracted over 200,000 people and have contributed an additional $35.157 million into the local economy.
Local Heritage Preservation Grants
Up to $10,000
Open: 3 December 2021
Applications: 18 February 2022
Open to owners of Heritage listed properties within Frankston City. Funding assist eligible individuals, community groups or organisations who own or manage properties within the Heritage Overlay to maintain, repair, restore or enhance these places for future generations.
