The grant provides funding to support locally initiated events that significantly benefit Frankston City residents and build local capacity for participation in, celebratory, cultural and artistic activities. The events funded will primarily attract local audiences, which enhance the quality of life of residents; celebrate local identity and culture; and provide a range of community benefits including participation, wellbeing and community connections.
Applications for the 21/22 funding program have closed.
Tourism Event Attraction Grants
The Tourism Event Attraction Program has been designed to attract events that drive economic returns outside of the event and give both visitors and residents year-round reasons to seek out and experience our City’s urban bayside location.
Two grants have been made available through the program, to support event management companies wishing to create or relocate their tourism event to Frankston.
To date, the program has supported the delivery of 20 events over four years. These events have attracted over 200,000 people and have contributed an additional $35.157 million into the local economy.
Applications for 2020 are now closed.
