Nepean Boulevard Transformation

Project Overview
Frankston Council is working towards the delivery of a world class Nepean Boulevard corridor.
Council is developing a bold vision alongside industry, private investors, local businesses and community that will transform the highway and unite the bustling Frankston City Centre to the pristine Frankston Waterfront.
Our vision:
- A vibrant, pedestrian friendly boulevard with extended pavements to encourage more outdoor dining and retail
- Lower speed limits and new bike lanes for a calmer, more pedestrian friendly traffic environment
- Better connections from the city centre across Nepean Boulevard to Frankston’s famous foreshore and Kananook Creek
- New lighting, landscaping and signage to create a distinctive sense of place
Council is currently developing a Nepean Boulevard Master Vision with extensive community engagement being undertaken as part of the Frankston Metropolitan Activity Centre (FMAC) Structure Plan.
