Section 3: The Town Centre3.1 The Public BuildingsThe high land to the south of Playne Street in Frankston rises above shops and the water reaching an abrupt plateau before the heights of Oliver's Hill and Mt. Eliza. This rise was reserved for government buildings. Today it is still the centre for much of the public life of Frankston. The public buildings here still evoke some sense of the history of Frankston and of the communal life of the suburb. |
