1.2 Beach Buildings

As a place of recreation and occasional industry, through lime kilns, boatbuilding and fishing, the Frankston beachfront has been a site for various buildings, many of them temporary but some of greater long-term importance. Perhaps the most significant, certainly the most significant, certainly the most immediately visible foreshore structure is the Frankston Pier.
