Renaming of Moorooduc Highway Service Lane to Susono Way

At its meeting on 24 July 2017, Council resolved to advertise its intention to formally re-name a section of Moorooduc Highway Service Road located near the corner Hastings Road and Foot Street intersections in front of the Frankston Private Hospital to “Susono Way”. It is also proposed to establish a commemorative garden in the parcel of land next to the proposed “Susono Way” in recognition of Frankston’s Sister City relationship between Frankston and Susono which was established in 1982.

Any person may make a written submission to Council on the proposal. All submissions received on or before 5 September 2017 will be considered by Council.

Any person making a submission is entitled to request (in the submission itself) to be heard at a Council meeting in support of the submission, either in person or by a person acting on his or her behalf.  Notice of the meeting date and time will be given to each person who has lodged a submission. 

Unless a submitter requests to the contrary, copies of submissions (including the submitters’ names and addresses) may be included in the Council meeting agenda and minutes, which are a permanent public record, and which are published on Council’s website.
