Proposed Discontinuance of Unused Road

At the corner North and Aldershot Roads, Langwarrin

Notice is hereby given that at its meeting on 29 January 2018, and in the exercise of a power conferred by section 206, Schedule 10, Clause 3 of the Local Government Act 1989 (‘Act’), Frankston City Council (‘Council’) resolved that statutory procedures be commenced to discontinue the unused government road at the corner of North and Aldershot Roads, Langwarrin.

If the road is discontinued, the land will revert to unreserved Crown land which may then be sold by the State Government.

How to Provide Feedback

Any person may make a submission to this proposal.  All submissions received on or before Tuesday 27 March 2018 will be considered by Council in accordance with section 223 of the Act.  Any person making a submission is entitled to request (in the submission itself) to be heard at a Council meeting in support of the submission, either in person or by a person acting on his or her behalf.  Notice of the meeting date and time will be given to each person who has lodged a submission.  

Submitters should note that Council is required to maintain a public register of submissions received during the previous 12 months.  Unless a submitter requests to the contrary, copies of submissions (including the submitters’ names and addresses) may also be included in the Council meeting agenda and minutes, which are a permanent public record, and which are published on Council’s website.  For further information phone Council’s Manager Administration & Corporate Projects, Michael Craighead, on 9784 1709.
