Connecting Malls Project

There is significant investment from the private and public sectors driving major redevelopment in Frankston’s city centre.

As part of the Victorian Government’s $63 million Frankston Train Station Revitalisation project, Council has been provided with the funds to manage the ‘Connecting Malls’ project: which aims to create a welcoming thoroughfare in Station Street Mall, which connects Frankston Train Station, Young Street, Station Street, Bayside and Wells Streets.

This project aims to create a space which is not only safe and usable, it is a destination for shoppers to enjoy some down time. The ‘Connecting Malls’ project also aims to complement the Victorian Government’s Eat Street Activation Grants*, which provides financial support and an opportunity for traders in the vicinity, who interested in transforming their space into a hospitality business.
