Youth Grants

What is Youth Grants?

The Victorian Government through the Engage! Program has provided funds to Frankston City Council to deliver a Youth Grants program to support young people with materials, equipment and courses for their education and career aspirations.

Please note that there are a limited number of applications which can be approved in each Youth Grant period due to the size of the pool of funds.

Who can apply for a Youth Grant?

Young people aged between 12 and 24 who live, work or study in the Frankston municipality.

What can the Youth Grant be spent on?

Materials, equipment and courses for your education, training and/or career aspirations.

This grant cannot be used to fund laptop/iPad/tablet leases through any educational institution.

Young Grant Amount

Up to $500 is available per successful applicant and is paid directly to the supplier of the item or service (not the applicant).

Application Period

  • Applications open on Monday 18 September 2017
  • Applications closed Friday 29 September 2017

Applicants are asked to provide at least 1 relevant reference person to support their application.

Successful applicants

Successful applicants will receive a letter of confirmation once a decision about the application has been made by the committee.

Unsuccessful applicants

Unsuccessful applications will receive a letter from Frankston Youth Services once a decision about the application has been made by the committee.
