Guided Ranger Walk and Junior Explorer Activities of Frankston's natural attractions

Come and explore some of Frankston's most popular natural attractions this summer. Join our local Park Ranger and be amazed by the history, native flora, fauna, geology and coastal scenery right here on our doorstep.

  • Spotlight Walk - Paratea Reserve, Frankston South
    Wednesday 4 April from 6pm to 8pm 
    Experience the bush as it comes to life after dark. Join the ranger looking for nocturnal wildlife.
    Suitable Ages: All ages
  • Guided Ranger Walk - Frankston Foreshore

    Thursday 5 April from 10am to 12pm  
    Join the ranger on an informative walk on Frankston's award winning foreshore.
    Suitable ages: All ages.

  • Junior Explorers - Stringybark Reserve, Langwarrin  
    Wednesday 11 April from 10am to 12pm

    Join the ranger to discover some of Frankston's best kept bush secrets. Find out why this reserve is named Stringybark Reserve.
    Suitable Ages: 6-12yrs   

  • Twilight Walk - Bunarong Park, Frankston
    Thursday 12 April from 5.45pm to 7.45pm 
    Join the Ranger to view the sunset from one of the highest points in Frankston, followed by a spotlight walk.
    Suitable Ages: All ages

What to bring

Warm clothing, hat, sunscreen, water bottle, sturdy shoes, rain jacket, camera, mosquito repellent, light snack, touch if its an evening event and your sense of adventure.
Children to be accompanied by an adult. No Dogs Please.

Unleash your inner champion at PARC!

The PARC Games are coming to Frankston these school holidays. To coincide with the Commonwealth Games, PARC will transform into a Games-themed arena and include activities such arcade-style basketball, gymnastics activities, relay racing and medal-making crafts activities.

Further entertainment includes Splashy, our giant inflatable obstacle course; the interactive Python raft waterslide and 114-metre long Constrictor water slide and the award winning AquaPlay playground, toddler pool and slides.

    Learn about colour, shape and texture with qualified teacher and artist Jennie Wragge in this fun and interactive workshop. Plus, make a friendship bracelet while your painting dries. BYO water bottle, and art smock or old shirt.
    Cost: $12 per person

  • Flash Mob Dance Sessions

    Friday 6 April (multiple sessions)
    Learn a flash mob dance to be showcased at a Frankston City event in May. It’s fun for the whole family and a great way to exercise. No dance experience necessary. BYO water bottle.

This year there will be new rides, new bands and live onstage entertainment, with over 50 market stalls added to the already amazing line up! Don't forget FREE Easter eggs from the Easter Bunny, our Easter Bonnet Parade and did we mention FREE admission! Bring a picnic blanket, stretch out on the lawn and enjoy some of the delicious food from the array of food vendors.
