Guided Ranger Walk and Junior Explorer Activities of Frankston's natural attractions

Come and explore some of Frankston's most popular natural attractions this autumn. Join our local Park Ranger and be amazed by the history, native flora, fauna, geology and coastal scenery right here on our doorstep.

    Join the ranger to explore the Coastal Arts Discovery Trail plus a beach and creek side ramble.

  • Astronomy Talk - Baxter Park, Frankston South
    Tuesday 4 July 6pm - 7.30pm
    Join the ranger under the stars for an overview of “our place in space”. 
    BYO folding chair or picnic rug, warm clothing, beanie, gloves, blanket and torch.

  • Junior Explorers - Belvedere Bushland Reserve, Seaford
    Wednesday 5 July 10am - 12pm
    Join the ranger to search for hidden bush secrets
    For ages 6 - 12yrs with an adult

  • Guided Ranger Walk - Kananook Creek, Seaford
    Tuesday 11 July 1pm - 3pm
    Join the ranger for a Banksia Woodland wander along the creek and foreshore.
    Open to all ages

  • Spotlight Walk Stringybark Reserve, Langwarrin
    Tuesday 11 July 6pm - 7.30pm
    Experience the bush as it comes to life after dark.  BYO warm clothing and torch.
    Open to all ages

  • Junior Explorer - Upper Sweetwater Creek, Frankston
    Wednesday 12 July 10am - 12pm
    Join the ranger to learn about Boonwurrung bush foods and tools.
    For ages 6 - 12yrs with an adult

What to bring

Warm clothing, hat, sunscreen, water bottle, sturdy shoes, rain jacket, camera, mosquito repellent, light snack and your sense of adventure.
Children to be accompanied by an adult. No Dogs Please.
