About the Festival

You are invited to celebrate the start of the festive season at Frankston’s Christmas Festival of Lights 2017. Now celebrating its 20 year. The largest free Christmas festival in the state, this year’s event promises a night of magic for the young and young at heart. Bring the family together to create lasting memories. Enjoying entertainment and activities including Santa’s grand arrival and the traditional lighting of the Christmas tree.
This magical spectacle truly captivates and has become a Frankston City Christmas tradition. 2017 marks the 20th year the tree has been lit!
Witness the excitement on children’s faces as the breathtaking Fireworks Display lights up the night sky creating a truly magical moment to remember.
Ensure you grab your $3 candles from The Boulevard to join in on the ceremony.
Frankston’s Christmas Festival of Lights 2017 is an accessible event and features:
- Accessible unisex toilet
- Pram and wheelchair accessible pathways
- Accessible parking around the city centre, please view the Frankston City Centre Car Parking Map
- Accessible by Public Transport
The event site is 750 metres walk from Frankston Station.
Disruptions to Train Services
Due to level crossing removal works at Skye/Overton Road, Frankston, buses will replace trains between Frankston and Carrum Stations on the weekend of Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 November. Extra buses will be provided for patrons travelling to and from the Frankston Festival of Lights on 25 November. Please plan ahead and allow up to an extra 20 minutes’ travel time.
