The Revenue generated from rates enables Council to deliver a range of high quality, value for money services to residents and ratepayers. This includes waste and recyling collection; community safety initiatives; road, footpath and drainage repairs; operation of aquatic centres, arts centre and libraries; maintenance of parks and sportsgrounds; community events; holiday programs; animal control; playgrounds; youth, family and senior services; and many other works, programs and facilities.

Frankston City's level of rates continues to be significantly less that the metropolitan wide average.
