Purpose:The aim of VicHealth's Sports Injury Prevention Funding Program is to improve the physical environment in which sport is played be providing grants of up to $2,000 to fund sport safety equipment and first aid training.

Sport and Recreation Victoria Minor Facilities Funding Grants

Provider:Sport and Recreation Victoria
Purpose:The purpose of Minor Facilities Funding is to improve sport and recreation opportunities at the local community level. Some project ideas include facility modification to improve usage and access, community facility and pavilion development and open space and sports surface development.

Sport and Recreation Victoria Emergency Facility and Equipment Replacement Fund

Provider:Sport and Recreation Victoria
Purpose:A statewide funding program to assist local sport and recreation clubs and organisations in replacing essential sporting and first aid equipment lost or destroyed by fire, theft or flood. Up to half the value, to a maximum of $2,000, can be compensated through this program.

The Active After School Community Program

Provider:Australian Sports Commission
Purpose:To fund after school hours structured physical activity and health program that will be delivered nationally to children enrolled in Australian Primary Schools and Child Care Benefit approved Out of School Hour Care Services.

Country Football and Netball Program

Provider:Department for Victorian Communities (DVC)
Purpose:To provide funding to assist country football and netball clubs to develop facilities in rural, regional and outer metropolitan councils.

Sportscover Sponsorship Fund ("SSF")

Provider:Sportscover Australia
Purpose:To provide funding for grass roots sporting organisations.

State Sporting Association Support Grants 2005-2006

Provider:Department for Victorian Communities (DVC)
Purpose:The State Sporting Association Support Grants enhance the capacity of State Sporting (and Recreation) Associations to provide sport and recreation opportunities to Victorians.
There are two grant categories: Planning Provides Grants for Organisations to plan for the future through better information and consultation and Strengthening Communities includes two components, Future Directions Projects and the Sport Development Scheme.

(Type 3) Including Everyone

Purpose:CAGS increases the capacity of grassroots sport and recreation organisations in regional and rural Victoria. CAGS supports community organisations to improve the way they operate, better shape the opportunities they offer, and to develop their members.
