Capital Works Contributions Policy Review

Each year Council spends 100,000's of dollars on the development of sporting facilities in Frankston City. Since the beginning of 2005, a formal policy has been in place to promote partnership between sporting clubs and Council in relation to these improvements. The Capital Works Contribution Policy aims to determine levels of funding to be contributed by clubs and Council for the progressive improvement of facilities throughout the City. This partnership allows many projects to be achieved across the City and gives clubs some ownership over projects affecting their operations.

This policy has been in place for two years, and Council is undertaking a review to ensure that it is working satisfactorily for Council, sporting clubs and the community at large.

Frankston City Council would like to invite community members and/or other sporting club representatives to comment on the existing policy as part of this review process.

The current policy can be viewed by clicking on the link below and any feedback can be provided to Council's Recreation Planner, Ella Angarane at ella.angarane@frankston.vic.gov.au.

Outstanding Sporting Fees and Charges Policy

Policy aims:

  • A fair and equitable process for the collection of sporting fees and charges
  • Development of accountable and sustainable sporting clubs and organisations
  • Encouragement of responsible and timely payment of accounts

The major implication for clubs is that fees must now be paid in two instalments:

  • 50 per cent of the fee due within one month of the commencement of the season.
  • 50 per cent of the fee due by the end of the season.
