The undulating grassed open space and garden beds create a pleasant environment for community and family group activities. Substantial improvement works have been undertaken in recent years to upgrade the gardens. The botanic collection is being strengthened and leisure facilities are being improved.

Frankston Rotary has worked with Franskton City Council to establish a playground at the eastern end as well as picnic and barbecue facilities throughout the gardens. 

The gardens are popular with residents and visitors to Frankston, as well as various educational activities and family gatherings, the gardens are available for weddings

1 at Foot Street and 1 at Williams Street

Erection of marquees and pergolas are not permitted at these gardens due to the extensive irrigation system at the site.
