Frankston City Council Sports Development Strategy  (Acrobat PDF file - 2 MB) was launched in November 2003 to boost sport participation and promote active lifestyles throughout the municipality.

The strategy has proved a positive way for Council and the community to work together to promote sport and foster development. Over the past two years, Council has built strong partnerships with sporting clubs and associations in developing facilities for community groups, including juniors, women, men and people with a disability.

The strategy was developed following a wide community consultation process, including public forums, club surveys and face-to-face meetings. The strategy is incorporated into Council's future capital works budgets.
