Frankston City Council is committed to removing graffiti from our municipality.
Like most cities, Frankston has a problem with graffiti in some areas. The difference is that Council is committed to clearing graffiti to make our City a cleaner, friendlier and safer place to live, work and visit as identified in Frankston's Graffiti Management Plan (Acrobat PDF file - 163 KB).
Graffiti is presented in many forms and is generally considered unsightly by most people. By promptly removing graffiti your business or property will look decidedly better, and in most cases such actions deter people from further graffiti attacks.
The Removal Process
Frankston City Council employs qualified and experienced contractors who use various chemicals and types of cleaning equipment to effectively remove graffiti from properties around the municipality.
Do It Yourself Graffiti Removal Kits are also available from Council. These kits, costing only $20, are suitable for use on most materials other than painted surfaces. The most effective graffiti removal for painted surfaces is simply to paint over the graffiti. The kits include chemicals and protective wear, as well as instructions on how to safely remove graffiti.
