Playgroups

What is a Playgroup?

Playgroups are informal sessions where parents and children from newborn to five years of age can play and socialise together.  They are held in a variety of venues including neighbourhood houses, community and church halls.

Playgroups provide parents and caregivers the opportunity to meet new people, gain support and exhange parenting ideas. Playgroups are usually run by parent committees.

There are also playgroups and support groups developed to meet specific needs in the community.
