Needle and Syringe Programs
There are three needle and syringe programs:
- A program conducted by SHARPS (Southern Hepatitis/HIV/AIDS Resource and Prevention Service) that provides clean equipment, counselling and referral. SHARPS operates from 37 Ross Smith Avenue, Frankston, and can be contacted on 9781 1622. SHARPS will also collect used or discarded syringes found in public areas.
- A mobile Outreach Service can be contacted after 6:30pm seven days a week on free call 1800 642 287
- A program conducted by the Frankston City Council's Youth Resource Centre, corner of Rossmith Avenue and Olsen Street, Frankston. For information about this service phone 9770 6222
