Frankston Waterfront Playground

Frankston Waterfront Playground

Designs are being finalised on an upgrade to the playground located on the Frankston Waterfront.

Constructed in 2000 this highly used community space attracts thousands of families each year and as a result is in need of a facelift.

The playground’s iconic pointy roof structures have been retained and will be integrated into the upgrade which will include new picnic facilities, shelters and a range of new play equipment.

Frankston Waterfront Toilet Block

Works on the upgrade of Frankston Waterfront toilet block has started and expected to be completed in July 2017.

These new accessible toilet facilities compliment many of the existing accessible services and facilities on offer at the waterfront, including a liberty swing and BBQ to accommodate wheelchairs, use of a free beach wheelchair and recent path upgrades near Kananook Creek.

The project includes:

  • Male and female toilets
  • An accessible toilet
  • Baby change facilities
  • Two outdoor showers

Access to the construction area, located near the Coast Guard, and a small number of adjacent carpark spaces will be restricted during construction.
