Fencing
The Building Regulations 2006 control and monitor fences on allotments exceeding 300 square meters. Should you have any questions or queries regarding boundary Fencing disputes, please visit Fencing Online.
Safety Fencing for pools and spas
Any excavation or structure containing water that is used primarily for swimming, wading, paddling or the like, is defined as a swimming pool. Safety barriers must be provided to all swimming pools or spas exceeding 300mm in depth.
Every swimming pool that fits within the above requirements requires a swimming pool barrier in accordance the Building Regulations or Australian Standard (AS1926.1-1993), pending the age of the swimming pool.
It should be noted that Frankston City Council have an ongoing Swimming Pool Safety Barrier program that targets and randomly inspects swimming pool/spa barriers within its Municipal boundaries to ensure the ongoing safety of swimming pool and spa owners within the Frankston Municipality.
