Ballam Park is home to a huge area of open space covering 30ha and provides a great day out for people of all ages, with shade and barbecues provided in the large picnic areas.

There are 2 playground areas, a premier athletics track, AFL, soccer and cricket. Also at the park is the Ballam Park Homestead, which is a sandstone brick house erected in the 1850s.
