Carrum Downs, Skye and Sandhurst

In 2014 Council worked with 80 community members to create a new Local Area Plan for Carrum Downs, Skye and Sandhurst communities. This Plan will help to guide Council’s decision making over the next four years.

The community identified seven priorities for their area:

1. Beautify Carrum Downs/Skye/Sandhurst
2. Encourage youth ownership of parks
3. Celebrate and encourage participation in local events
4. Promote local community home help
5. Strengthen local job opportunities
6. Increase community transport services
7. Provide mentoring programs for younger people.

Projects and/or strategies have been identified by the community to help to realise the community’s priorities for their area. A copy of the Local Area Plan is available under the Related Documents.
