Early Childhood Education and Care Services (Child Care)

There are a range of child care options available to families within Frankston City.

Family Day Care

Family Day Care is an Australian Government approved child care program that is provided in the homes of registered family day care educators.  Educators are registered with a family day care service that provides support, training and monitoring of program quality.

Long Day Care

Frankston City Council directly manages the Mahogany Rise Child and Family Centre in Frankston North.  This service provides centre-based education and care programs for children from birth until they commence primary school.

Other centre-based education and care programs (long day care) are operated by a range of providers across Frankston City.

Before and After School Care and Vacation Care Programs

Before and After School Care and Vacation Care programs are operated by a range of providers across Frankston City and are usually situated on primary school sites.  For enrolment information contact your local primary school, community centre or My Child website for a list of providers.

Occasional Care

Occasional Care offers professional care for children on a casual basis. These services may be provided at Community Centres/Neighbourhood Houses.  These services are suitable for families who do not need child care on a regular basis but would like someone to look after their children occasionally, for example when they have a medical or other appointment.
