The Disability Access and Inclusion Committee
The Disability Access and Inclusion Committee provides advice to Council on the needs of people with disabilities and their carers. The functions of the Committee are:
- Provide information and recommendations to Frankston City Council with the purpose of meeting the needs of people with disabilities and to support Council in meeting its statutory obligations
- Make recommendations to Council on disability access and inclusion, future projects, policy development and strategies
- Advise on the development of statutory Disability Action Plans and monitor their implementation
- Assist in shaping inclusive communities in the Frankston area
Members of the Committee may work on issues of special interest such:
- Service provision
- Service gaps
- Consultation and others
The Committee meets every six weeks.
