Community Grants

Frankston City Council, on behalf of the Frankston community, is a major supporter of community organisations within the City. The Community Grants Program represents a significant contribution by the community to many not-for-profit organisations for programs, projects and events. Funds are distributed to assist Frankston City based groups in the operation of programs, specific projects, volunteer training, and development of new services and purchase of new equipment.

To be eligible, clubs and community groups must be:

  • Not-for-profit  
  • Incorporated, or auspiced by another group that is incorporated
  • Located within the geographical boundaries of Frankston City and/or providing services to a significant number of Frankston City residents.

If you are interested in applying next year, please read the guidelines and ensure you are eligible.

Applications will be online and a link will be available form this page. Please contact the Grants Officer if you would like to go on the mailing list for further information. For ideas on what to apply for please view the list of successful recipients from 2016/2017.

Funding is available under the following categories

  • Start-up Funding Grant - between $100 and $1,000  
  • Operational, Program and Minor Equipment Grant - between $100 and $2,500
  • Community Event Grant - between $100 and $1,500

Claiming your Grant

If you have been allocated a Community Grant you will need to return an invoice and funding agreement to claim your grant. (see related documents)

If you aren’t quoting an ABN you will also need to complete a “statement by supplier” form.

Accountability/Acquittal Forms for Grants (Annual Grants)

If you have received a Community Grant in 2016-2017, you will need to submit an Accountability Form.

Important - If you have received funds and not submitted an accountability form, it may impact on your eligibility for future funding via Council.
