Selwyn Fault:
Associated with the 1932 Mornington earthquake, the Selwyn Fault runs along the eastern side of Port Phillip Bay and is visible as part of Olivers Hill in Frankston. A brief description of the fault can be found in this excerpt from the Port Phillip Survey 1957-1963, with an illustration of its path across the Mornington Peninsula accessible from the By Selwyn's Shores website. The Selwyn Fault is also mentioned in a 2002 Melbourne University media release relating to recent studies by geologists.
