The 2007 Frankston Christmas Festival of Lights proudly presented by Cadbury, drew 25,000 people to the Frankston CAD for a spectacular light and fireworks display to kickstart the festive season.
Held on 24 November, the day started with the 'I Love Frankston' Parade, presented by Core Health Club, a new and exciting initiative of Cr Glenn Aitken.
More than 2500 people, representing community groups, sporting groups, businesses and schools marched through the City to show their pride in Frankston, while approximately 5000 people lined the streets to cheer them on.
The Christmas Festival of Lights then followed, with Santa's House a hit with the littlies, along with face painting, The Tweenies, Shrek and Princess Fiona and a wide range of rides and amusements.
On the main stage the Looney Tunes Christmas Show, High School Musical and carols by candlelight entertained the crowd, who showed their appreciation for local performers Matthew Clayton, Annabelle Priftis and Alanna Deutrom.
The highlight of the night came when Melbourne's very own Cirque du Soleil star, Christy Shelpher, sparked the light show after amazing the crowd with an incredible acrobatic performance.
