Sustainable Homes and Buildings
|
Compared to conventional buildings, environmentally sustainable homes and buildings are based on 'good design' principles, which aim to:
- Use less energy and water
- Have lower annual operating costs
- Offer improved comfort levels
- Have less impact on the environment
The cost of implementing good design often requires a higher up-front investment; however, this will be repaid throughout the life of the building which also increases its value in the future.
