Industrial Areas

Another important element of the local business community are the industrial areas of Carrum Downs, Seaford, Frankston, McClelland Drive and Beach Street. This business sector is undergoing considerable growth as a result of the EastLink tollway, Peninsula Link Freeway and many new jobs are being created in the region. Work started on the Lathams Road (Carrum Downs) Peninsula Link overpass in July 2009. The project is expected to create around 4,000 jobs during its construction and nearly 10,000 jobs indirectly once in operation.
