Frankston City Council has developed the Learning City Strategy as an important step to 'bring to life' Council's Community Plan committment of Frankston becoming a Learning City .
Frankston City Council is serious about its commitment to education. Council is specifically committed to the notion of a Learning City as part of its regional development commitment. The three core strategies to achieve a learning city, as outlined in its corporate report, are to:
- Facilitate the educational opportunities within greater Frankston and encourage co-operation between the education and business sectors
- Promote Frankston City as a centre of outstanding educational opportunity to attract families, resourcing and research funding
- Advocate for the provision of infrastructure to support emerging technology that will better serve this community and its businesses.
