Station Street Mall Eat Street Grants

Apply for up to $50,000 to bring your hospitality business to Frankston.

The objective of this grants program is to transform Station Street Mall, making it Frankston’s new ‘eat street’. This will be achieved by attracting destination hospitality outlets that will draw residents, workers and visitors to gather and socialise during the day, in the evenings and across weekends.

How to Apply

  • Stage 3: Successful Expressions of Interest will be invited to make a full application in partnership with a property owner on Station Street Mall
    Eat Street Application Page

At least three grants of up $50,000 will be issued by the Victorian Government to attract businesses with a clear point-of-difference. The aspiration of this program is to attract high quality hospitality businesses including (but not limited to):

  • A landmark restaurant that offers a truly unique dining experience. It will be a restaurant that will become synonymous with Station Street - a memorable anchor business
  • A wine bar, brew house (microbrewery) or entertainment venue that offers associated dining
  • A high quality franchise with a clear point-of-difference which will attract significant foot traffic to the street

The Eat Street Grant is designed to financially assist with transforming properties in Station Street Mall into destination hospitality outlets.

Applications can be made at any time, up until the funding allocation for this grants program is exhausted.

Applications can only be lodged for properties in Station Street Mall by prospective tenants in partnership with the property’s landlord.

Note: there are clauses that will be required to be included within the applicants’ commercial tenancy agreement (see application guidelines).  The value of the grant is required to be matched by either the landlord or tenant, by way of investment in the property.

Grant funding will be released via a reimbursement model at the milestones outlined in section 5.
