2018 Frankston City Business Grants

Applications open Monday 27 August and close 5pm Friday 5 October 2018.

After six years of business grants, Frankston City Council has stepped up our commitment to support business growth and attracting new businesses and startups to our city.

This year the  business grants pool has doubled to a total of $120,000 with eligible businesses receiving up to $30,000. 

Grants of up to $30,000 will be awarded to businesses who will best accomplish one or more of the following outcomes: 

  • Create employment
  • Build a resilient local economy through sustainable and diverse industries
  • Improve and activate commercial or industrial occupancy precincts
  • Enhance the reputation of Frankston City
  • Position Frankston City as the Startup Capital of Melbourne’s South East

Compulsory Information Sessions

Applicants must register and attend one compulsory information session, either in-person at Frankston City Council OR via a scheduled webinar.

All attendees are required to sign in at the commencement of each information session.

Webinar participants will be required to remain connected for the entire webinar session.

Council will not accept applications from any business that has not attended one of the information sessions or webinars.

Additional Assistance for Grant Applicants

Business Grants Financial Assistance Workshops
Frankston City Council provides financial assistance workshops to assist businesses in compiling their financial reports for grant applications.

Council encourages applicants to attend one of these 2 hour workshops at a cost of $20 per business.

Business Grants Coaching Sessions
Frankston City Council provides one on one business coaching sessions to assist businesses with and advice and assistance required for their grant application at a cost of $20 per business.

Please note that business coaches are unable to write the applications on behalf of the applicant/business.
