Last year's event attracted over 10,000 people and their pets who enjoyed a variety of stalls, entertainment and activities. A lap around Pets' Day out is sure to build up an appetite, so make sure you visit one of the yummy food vendors to satisfy your hunger while you enjoy the main stage entertainment.
Dr Chris Brown
Don't miss the opportunity to meet one on one and a photo opportunity with popular vet Dr Chris Brown. Bookings essential on 1300 322 322.
Dr Chris Brown's knowledge of animals is as much instinctive as it is taught. Growing up in the suburbs of Newcastle his father was the inspirational local vet.
Three years into his veterinary life, Chris was spotted by an agent in a pub in Mosman telling stories over a few beers. Two weeks later, Chris began filming as the new vet on "Harry's Practice". In March, 2004, Chris accepted an exciting offer to become the new presenter and vet on 'Burke's Backyard'. In October 2005 Chris released his first book, "The Family Guide to Pets". The book which has sold over 25,000 copies was written to help people make the right decision when choosing a pet.
In the last 12 months Chris has been a regular on the "Today" show as well as a presenter on "Talk to the Animals" and was part of the "Burke's Backyard" comeback specials. Chris also writes the very popular Pet Page in Woman's Day magazine. 2009 sees the most exciting period of Chris's career to date. As host and star of the new prime time program, "Bondi Vet", Chris will let viewers into the world he loves.
Despite all these commitments however, he remains true to his love of veterinary science, still practicing as a vet in that beachside suburb of Bondi.
