RICHARD TIPPING's large scale sculpture, HEARTH in the George Pentland Botanic Gardens (Foot Street end).

Internationally renowned poet and artist Richard Tipping from Newcastle, NSW, has installed his massive temporary sculpture, HEARTH, in the George Pentland Botanic Gardens.
HEARTH uses the elements of nature; vegetation, rain and photosynthesis to form a giant word game, growing in grass. This work is literally growing and HEARTH will change over time, for the next 2 to 4 weeks, as nature takes its course. We anticipate that the work will be available for months. However, Nature is unpredictable, so WHITE STREET PROJECT cannot give exact opening dates.
