Frankston City is approximately 45 kilometres south of Melbourne's central
business district, on the edge of Port Phillip Bay. Since 2001, with the
presentation of the Frankston Integrated Urban Arts Strategy1, Frankston City
Council has been actively engaged in energising the arts and cultural
experience of the local community. Disparate projects and activities have
ensued, one of the most visible being - as its name implies - the Public Arts
program.
