Frankston is a city with many faces and many stories to tell. It is a city with a fascinating social, cultural and natural heritage. The city is proud of its unique arts and architecture; heritage; cultural diversity (Indigenous, non-indigenous and new arrivals); wonderful parks, gardens and reserves including a spectacular foreshore; diverse entertainment and a unique and vibrant community life.

Frankston City's Arts and Cultural Development Unit manages a range of programs designed to engage the general public, artists, students and a fascinating range of arts, cultural and community organizations. The program reinforces Council's aim to create a city that is 'vibrant and exciting, that showcases our natural assets, rich history, heritage a diverse culture where people thrive, and everyone is active and healthy'

Frankston's History
