Services

Our Home and Community Care (HACC) Program services are funded by the Australian Government, the Victorian Government's Department of Human Services (DHS) and by Frankston City Council itself.

These services provide practical support to older people, people of all ages with a disability and the carers of these people with the primary objective of preventing early or inappropriate admission of people into residential care.

Social Support

It is important for older residents to get out of the house and continue to participate in activities where they can socialise and have fun. As part of our Social Support Program, Council staff and volunteers organise regular group outings and activities.

Clients must be physically independent and able to manage the steps into the bus with limited assistance.

Community Transport

Frankston City Council offers a range of transport options for residents, including trips to the library, Jubilee Park Aquatic Centre, exercise programs and senior citizens' centres. Groups can also book a community bus and drive themselves to activities and outings.
