Mayor Brian Cunial with 100yr old Norfolk Pine tree

New Mayor Lightens up for Christmas

Frankston City's New Mayor, Cr Brian Cunial, welcomed in Christmas by turning on the lights to Frankston's 100 year old Norfolk Pine tree.

"This is an honour on my first day as Mayor," said Cr Cunial, "It's been a childhood dream to light the Christmas tree."

The lighting of the Christmas tree is symbolic to many locals as the official start of the season. The tree is alight from 8:00am until 12midnight through to the New Year.
