One of Frankston City's greatest assets, the waterfront, has seen substantial improvements take shape. The Frankston Pier foreshore restaurant is among one of the major projects now completed. 

The Frankston Planning Scheme requires that before any development or use to the Frankston Foreshore adjacent to Kananook Creek begins a Development Plan and an Environment Management Plan must be prepared. The detailed report and plans were received from the renowned Australian architect, Omiros Emmanouilides.

"Sofia on the Pier" family restaurant and adjoining decked area offers picturesque views of the coastline.
