How to make Frankston a better place

How to improve Frankston?

Throughout the world poverty and homelessness are big issues. Every night in Frankston many people sleep on the street, but why? Sure maybe they can't afford a house and maybe they have to beg, but we as a community should put a stop to this terrifying ordeal.

How would you like to go to bed starving every night? To fear for your life as you sleep on a park bench overnight? Everyone has a right to feel safe, the right to food, water and shelter. We need to help these people instead of looking them up and down when you see them on the street. I believe a homeless shelter would be a great solution to this on-going problem our community faces.

A homeless shelter is where disadvantaged people can go for help; a place where people can sleep easily without being scared; a place where you can be fed and looked after. There aren't many places where troubled people can look for help, where they won't be judged by their problems. A place where their stories can be told and people will actually listen to them. A homeless centre offers, food, beds and shelter, this is the answer to Frankston's biggest issue. I believe an extension onto Frankston's soup kitchen would be a great location to build the Homeless centre, as those less fortunate are already aware of the soup kitchen.

A homeless centre would not only benefit the homeless but the community as a whole. People wouldn't need to be scared as they walk the streets of Frankston anymore, they could let their children play in the streets without living in fear.

A homeless centre would help improve Frankston significantly. The community as one and the neighbouring suburbs would all benefit greatly. Homeless people and those more fortunate would feel safer living in Frankston. A homeless centre in Frankston will make a positive impact on society and the way people view Frankston. A little thought can go a long way.
