Thanks to the Frankston District Basketball Association

Rob Little from the Frankston District Basketball Association (FDBA) presented the Mayor a cheque for $5000 for the Frankston Community Fund, following their successful 'Hands Up to Help Celebrity Basketball Match' fundraiser held in March 2011 featuring Lindsay Gaze, Chris Anstey, Debbie Flintoff-King and many more. The event also raised funds for the FDBA and beyondblue: the national depression initiative. This generous donation will continue to support the Frankston community for years to come.

 

Great Moscow Circus

The opening night charity performance of the Great Moscow Circus in May raised $12,000 for the Frankston Community Fund and helped the fund reach its initial target of $100,000 before June 2011 to maximise the dollar for dollar matching grant from the Lord Mayor's Charitable Foundation.
